Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant & Bar is located in the master-planned community of Seaside, Florida, where the kitchen serves homespun American comfort food with a Gulf Coast flair. The restaurant has been in Seaside for almost three decades and throughout all that time, it has prepared remarkable meals in a waterfront setting to both countless locals and tourists alike. Bud & Alley’s Restaurant takes its name from the founders’ pets, a Dachshund and accompanying feline. In addition to the original restaurant, Bud and Alleys Seaside also has a pizzeria a few steps away from the restaurant, a rooftop deck and separate taco bar.
Simple Creative Kitchen at Bud and Alleys Seaside
This is one of the best seaside Florida restaurants that is considered to be one of the longest running establishments in South Walton County, the kitchen has always remained true to its surf roots of simplicity and creativity. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests have ample selections of dishes from each menu. At breakfast, the Crab Cake Benedict is recommended, while lunch calls for a fish sandwich made with the freshest catch of the day. In fact, Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant receives its bread, salad greens, vegetables, meats and seafood from local vendors whenever possible. When dinnertime arrives, the menu is quite extensive. From Bay Scallop Ceviche served with Toasted Arepas to a massive BBQ Braised Pork Shank, there is something for everyone. If you arrive with children, the restaurant only has kids’ menus for breakfast and lunch. However, accommodations can always be made during dinner service.
Crafty Cocktails & Wine
The bar at this restaurant combined with the outdoor views of the Gulf make for a remarkable place to have a cocktail. Try the signature Bloody Mary made with an award-winning mix, then garnished with spicy shrimp and cherrywood smoked bacon. Or if you feel more like a refreshing citrus-based cocktail, the Lemon Thyme Spritzer and Blood Orange Margarita are excellent choices. Additionally, the wine cellar provides a nice selection of red, white and sparkling wines. And for beer lovers, there is still a small selection of local craft brews as well as familiar domestic ones.
Pizza & Tacos on the Beach
If you happen to stay longer in Seaside and would like to try Bud & Alley’s other sister establishments, try the nearby taco bar for some innovative beach-inspired tacos or the pizzeria to grab a quick slice on-the-go. Whatever seaside Florida restaurants you choose, as their slogan says, it’s always “Good Food, Good People and Good Times.”
