In fact, the knowledgeable brewers excel at presenting a constant rotation of seasonal beers as well as beers that raise profits for charities and organizations. The daily, on-the-menu roster of beers includes a Blonde Ale perfect for the beach, a Belgian-style Weissbier which showcases that wonderful tell-tale tartness, and the beer named Salt of the Gulf is an exemplary rendition of the Gose style of beer which originated in Goslar, Germany. The darker beers include the 1890 Founder’s Ale, the Staff Pale Ale and the Fish Whistle IPA. The 1890 Founder’s Ale is a copper colored masterpiece which blends malty flavor through the use of American Cascade hops. The Staff Pale Ale combines hoppy flavors of pine and citrus while the IPA exudes the classic characteristics of this popular beer style; however, the IPA made here definitely shows a spicy floral edge as well!
Grayton Beer Company 30A Brewpub & Taproom
Grayton Beer Company has two locations at which visitors can try a sampling of their celebrated local beers. The taproom is located in Santa Rosa Beach and it is where guests can try all of the beers and then some with its tap-wall with more than 40 different beers! The best thing of all is that it’s perfect for the whole family. The brewers welcome one and all, as there are plenty of games for the little ones as well as adults such as life-size Jenga, cornhole, darts, etc. The brewpub is located in Grayton Beach, and in addition to the superb beers made at the nearby brewery, the kitchen serves hearty, comfort food excellent to pair with the beers. On the menu, try the Bavarian Pretzels which come with a delectable side of Fish Whistle IPA mustard and stout beer cheese. The sandwiches such as the Shrimp Po’ Boy and Pulled Pork are excellent examples of a surf and turf combination while the larger plates such as the Parmesan Grouper or the Bourbon Roasted Half Chicken will satisfy any appetite.
